Filming of the Max Payne movie, written by Thomas H. Fenton and to be directed by John Moore, is scheduled to begin on the 2nd of March.
Announced to contine until May 9th, the film it set to be released in 2010 according to
IMDB. Mark Wahlberg will take the role of the main character.
"The story of a New York cop whose wife and baby are killed by thugs high on a designer drug called Valkyr. Devastated, the cop joins the Drug Enforcement Agency and goes undercover with the mob to find the source of the drug. Framed for the murder of his partner and hunted down by both the mob and the police, he is forced to wage a one-man war against crime."
John Moore is known for directing films such as "Behind Enemy Lines," "Flight of the Phoenix," and "The Omen." I guess that's better than old Uwe Boll but I'm guessing this video game to film adaptation won't be taking home any Oscars.
