Entertaining WoW news

Here are two interesting "World of Warcraft" stories that you won't want to miss.

First up is a blog entry by "Antiotter" who was nearly killed while playing the game when a .44 magnum round came flying through his wall. Both the victim and the shooter are military and live in an apartment complex near their post. The shooter, who has quite the collection of weapons, including chrome-plated Desert Eagles as you'll see in the pictures (groan), was posing with a 44 in front of a bathroom mirror and the gun accidentally when off. After quite a path it ended up flying within inches of the WoW player's head and lodged in his doorframe. Posing with guns, now that's a way to pick up the ladies...

Next is a page that gives a list of colleges with the most World of Warcraft players who visit MapWoW.com. The University of Washington is at the top and my own school, in which I am currently enrolled in - Iowa State, came up as number 18 which doesn't surprise me at all. Of course that list most likely doesn't include players that live off campus. (I don't happen to play the game)
