The best part about the two indie I’m going to go on about is that they’re free to play already. Closure was an interesting game I ran into as I tried to look for a quiet space in the floor. I ran into the indie area and of all the indie products I saw, Closure stuck out as something that I found hard to forget.
There wasn’t a lot story I could draw from Closure, but there’s a boy, balls of light and a lot of darkness. The entire game revolves around the usage and scarcity of light, because when things go pitch black, it becomes nothing, literally nothing. You’ll fall through the level and die.
A great concept and they’re hard at work on a PC/XBLA release. Having seen the game on high resolutions, the black and white aesthetic really sticks out and seeing the art so pristine does give the entire game a sense of isolation and desolation. Here’s hoping it comes out by the end of this year. A Flash release exists, if you’re interested.
