Stardock announced the release of a new patch for "Demigod" delivered through Impulse, bringing the strategy game by Gas Powered Games to version 1.2.

"Demigod v1.2 is here and users can now unlock the highly anticipated new Demon Assassin.

The Demon Assassin is a Melee Assassin fighting for the Forces of Darkness. He wields a sword and knife in battle, and is highly mobile, quickly closing the gaps between himself and his opponent through the use of warp attacks.

Not only does v1.2 unlock the new assassin, but the new update will also add:

  • New AI options
  • A Mod Manager
  • And new game-play balancing and tweaks

Got Game Entertainment has announced that "Twin Sector" has gone gold and is scheduled to be released on December 5th.

The official website for "The Saboteur" has been updated with word that the game is now gold and will be released on December 8th in North America, and the 4th in Europe.

A new trailer for "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" has been released, giving viewers more of a look at the highly anticipated sequel.

A demo for "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" has been released, giving players a chance to try out the recent first-person war simulation game by Bohemia Interactive.

IO Interactive confirmed development of "Kane & Lynch 2," an upcoming sequel in the third-person shooter series scheduled for release in 2010.

Paradox announced an agreement with GameRanger, to bring more multiplayer features and matchmaking abilities to its games.

Electronic Arts announced that “The Sims 3 World Adventures” has been shipped and is now available in North American retail stores. In addition, the game will be available in stores worldwide this week.

“The Sims have itchy feet and are looking for adventure far from Sunset Valley. Players travel with their Sims to three real-world inspired locations in Egypt, France, and China. They can search for treasure in ancient tombs in Al Simhara, Egypt, fill the sky with fireworks purchased from locals in Shang Simla, China and master the art of nectar-making in Champs Les Sims, France. There were rumors earlier today about Pandemic Studios and now these reports appear to be confirmed. A twitter post by Drew Marlowe, a game designer at the company, states the following:

“It’s official, pandemic is shut down as of today. Thankfully it looks like we are getting decent severance.”

The company is known for games such as Mercenaries, Battlefront 2, Star Wars Battlefront, the Full Spectrum Warrior series, and Destroy all Humans among other titles.

Paradox announced that “Elven Legacy: Siege” has been released, the second expansion in the turn-based strategy series by Ino-Co.

Valve today announced that “Left 4 Dead 2” has been shipped to retailers and is also available on Steam.

New screenshots and a walkthrough mechanics trailer have been released for "Just Cause 2," giving viewers more of a look at the upcoming sequel by Avalanche Studios.

Over the weekend, the Assassin’s Creed YouTube channel was updated with the complete Lineage series. Assassin’s Creed Lineage is a series of three short films made by Ubisoft and the story is a prequel to the upcoming "Assassin’s Creed II."

At this dawn of a new era, a conspiracy is being plotted by one corrupt family to overthrow the powerful Medici family and destroy a unified Italy.
