Iron Will Technologies unveiled the "Peregrine" at E3 today, a gaming controller glove that will allow up to 30 actions.

"A gaming glove with proprietary TouchPoint technology, the Peregrine is a direct link to increasingly complex PC games like real-time strategy (RTS) and massively multiplayer online (MMO) titles. The Peregrine is scheduled for release in fall 2009.

Gamers who add the Peregrine to their arsenal will gain access to more than 30 actions at their fingertips, allowing them to command armies and cast spells with speed, accuracy and comfort. Constructed of durable, flexible fabric, with a magnetic break-away electronics pod, the Peregrine comfortably augments or even replaces the keyboard in any gamer’s command center.

“Any gamer who’s serious about RTS or MMO games can tell you about the lengths they’ve gone to in hopes of creating a faster, more efficient control setup – the Peregrine streamlines and simplifies, bringing the most complex maneuvers to your fingertips,” said Brent Baier, founder and CEO of Iron Will Technologies and inventor of the Peregrine. “It’s designed to allow you control your game with speed, ease and a comfort that is unlike any other device.”

The Peregrine is sleek and easy to use. The glove is form-fitting, rugged and washable, and functions with standard keyboard drivers on all operating systems. Gamers can plug the glove in and start playing immediately, or use the software for in-depth customization. Users simply touch their thumb to TouchPoints on the fingertips to perform more than 30 programmable actions.

Gamers everywhere are encouraged to visit www.theperegrine.com to find out more about the Peregrine."

“Throughout his career David Jones has continually forged new creative paths in interactive entertainment,” said David DeMartini, Senior Vice President and General Manager, EA Partners. “David and the team at Realtime Worlds are set to do it once again with APB. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with them in introducing online persistence to third-person, open-world action games and defining a new category within the genre.”

APB is a new breed of online game. Set in a persistent living, breathing open-world urban environment where fame and fortune awaits all players. Some players will achieve this by feeding on the city, its people and its businesses…the Criminals. Some will live by a higher code and instead feed on the criminals and their organisations…the Enforcers. This dynamic where players become the core content for other players is one of the many unique features of APB. Its deep, rich customisation system provides players with the ability to completely personalise their identity. Looks, clothing, vehicles and even music, all to astonishing detail and quality.
