1C Company today released the launch trailer for Men of War: Condemned Heroes, the next installment in the RTS series. The game launches on Thursday.

Men of War: Condemned Heroes tells the story of one of the infamous Soviet penal battalions during the WWII. These battalions are famous for being formed under Stalin’s “No step back!” order #227. They consisted of court-martialed officers that were given a chance to redeem their crimes, or incompetence, in blood by serving as the lowest enlisted rank in a battalion that was assigned the most dangerous tasks. These battalions’ images are surrounded by many myths, and this game tells the truth about these regiments based on real evidence from their former members.

Take command of one of these notorious companies and lead it to victory against all odds through most of the war on the Eastern front. Fight from desperate battles in 1942 in the area of Volyn in the Ukraine, to the massive operation “Bagration” in the Brest area, as well as Magnush bridgehead and the Warsaw area in Poland and finally to attacks on the German Altdam and Stettin near the end of the war.”

Ouch! Electronic Arts has taken the Golden Poo trophy for the 2012 worst company in America. Over the course of the last few weeks The Consumerist has been running a bracket user poll on the country’s worst companies. The final poll was between EA and Bank of America.

“After more than 250,000 votes, Consumerist readers ultimately decided that the type of greed exhibited by EA, which is supposed to be making the world a more fun place, is worse than Bank of America’s avarice, which some would argue is the entire point of operating a bank.

To those who might sneer at something as “non-essential” as a video game company winning the Worst Company In America vote: It’s that exact kind of attitude that allows people to ignore the complaints as companies like EA to nickel and dime consumers to death.”

Paradox today released a new developer diary video for Naval War: Arctic Circle, which focuses on strategy and tactics in the strategy title by Turbo Tape Games scheduled to be released next week.

“Modern sea combat is a deadly game of hide and seek, and the best captains are those that have mastered the art of remaining hidden and striking from a safe distance. Understanding how to use sensors and how to best position vessels to preserve capital ships is the difference between a national hero and a waterlogged corpse.

In this, the fourth video developer diary from Turbo Tape Games, the Naval War: Arctic Circle development team talks about the art and science of naval combat, with dramatic footage of the consequences of failure in the frigid North.”
