The 4th Android Humble Bundle has been released, which is also available for Windows, Mac and Linux. This bundle includes Splice, Eufloria, Walking Mars, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP (Android beta) and Machinarium (if you pay more than the average).

“Buying the Humble Bundle for Android 4 also gets you the games on Windows, Mac, and Linux! For your listening pleasure, all six games also come with an official soundtrack.

Pay what you want. On their own, buying this unbeatable collection of mobile and desktop games with soundtracks would cost around $119, but we’re letting you name your price!

The games are DRM-free and work great on Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux (system requirements here). Note that this is the initial release for many of the Android and Linux versions of the games. Please be patient while the developers fix any 1.0 bugs as quickly as they can, and don’t hesitate to contact us if you run into any issues!

Support charities and developers. Choose how your purchase is divided: to the developers, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and/or the Child’s Play Charity. And if you like this promotion, a tip to the Humble Bundle would be greatly appreciated!”

Valve today announced the launch of the private Linux Steam beta. Additionally, Valve announced that gamers in Brazil can now pay for games in Brazillian reais starting with the Boleto payment method and later with BoaCompra, PagSegura and local credit cards.

Linux:

“The Steam for Linux Beta client supports the free-to-play game Team Fortress 2. Approximately two dozen additional Steam titles are now also available for play on Linux systems. Additionally, the Steam for Linux Beta client includes Big Picture, the mode of Steam designed for use with a TV and controller, also currently in beta.

“This is a huge milestone in the development of PC gaming,” according to Gabe Newell, Valve President and co-founder. “Steam users have been asking us to support gaming on Linux. We’re happy to bring rich forms of entertainment and our community of users to this open, customer-friendly platform.”

The Steam for Linux Beta client is currently available for installation on Ubuntu 12.04. “An overwhelming majority of beta applicants have reported they’re running the Ubuntu distro of Linux,” according to Frank Crockett, a member of the Steam for Linux team, “We intend to support additional popular distros in the future; we’ll prioritize development for these based on user feedback.”

Within its first week, Valve received over 60,000 responses to its request for participants in the Steam for Linux Beta. The first round of beta participants has been selected from this group of respondents.

The Steam for Linux Beta client will become available to a widening group of users over the course of the beta. Subsequent participants will be chosen among survey respondents, and once the team has seen a solid level of stability and performance across a variety of systems, the Steam for Linux client will become available to all users of Steam.”

Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials, being released in December for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points), will include 10 challenge maps that will test and track your combat, stealth and mobility skills. Ten distinct trials await challengers – including an arena battle against waves of enemy AI, a gravity-defying run of drop assassinations, and a race against the clock. Dunwall City Trials also features a whole new set of achievements and trophies as well as a global online leaderboard that will establish the greatest assassins for each challenge.

Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome…

Additional story details on the third add-on pack will be revealed closer to its launch next year.”
